UNIKA ATMA JAYA SUPPORTS THE ROLE OF THE CAREER CENTER AS A LINK BETWEEN THE CAMPUS AND THE INDUSTRY
Jakarta, 25 August 2023 – Indonesia Career Center Network (ICCN) of DKI Jakarta, West Java and Banten (DJB) region held training activities for college career center managers. The Career Center Officer Training Progam (CCOP) in 2023 took place in a hybrid manner at the Semanggi Campus, Unika Atma Jaya, on Friday (01/09). The event was attended by 62 participants from 53 universities from all over Indonesia.
Also present to open the event on this occasion was the Head of LLDIKTI Region III, Prof. Dr. Toni Toharudin, S.Si., M.Sc., emphasizing the importance of the role of career center institutions in higher education. "Many universities have ignored the importance of building an institutional structure that can help universities bridge graduates to be absorbed effectively."
The Head of LLDIKTI Region III highlighted the unemployment rate of university graduates. According to him, ICCN has an important role in developing the capacity of career center managers in higher education.
Rector of Unika Atma Jaya, Dr. Agustinus Prasetyantoko in his speech said that the career center must be a HUB or a link between higher education and the world of work so that there is a link and match. "The career center is not merely a manager, but must be able to provide inspiration or feedback to universities regarding what competencies are currently needed," added the Rector of Unika Atma Jaya.
"In the World University Ranking assessment, Employability has a considerable assessment, and we are fortunate that among the assessment points in this aspect our employability is quite good, this is inseparable from the role of the Career Center," said the Rector of Unika Atma Jaya, Dr. Agustinus Prasetyantoko.
President of ICCN, Teddy Indira Budiwan, S.Psi., M.M. also revealed that ICCN is currently in the process of forming a standardization which in the future will develop into a competency certification for career center managers in higher education.
"This training activity is to provide an overview to career center managers, from services to the required capacity. The organization of CCOP DJB 2023 also presents various speakers who are experienced in the field of careers in higher education," President of ICCN, Teddy Indira Budiwan, S.Psi., M.M.

CCOP DJB 2023 presented expert and experienced speakers in managing university career centers. Hanuranto, M.T., (3) Supervisor of Career Development and Assessment, IPB University, Nur Fajri Rahmawati, S.P., CRS., (4) Head of Career Development Center, Padjadjaran University, Dr. Rosaria Mita Amalia, M.Hum., (5) Head of Entrepreneurship Undergraduate Study Program, Sonny Rustiadi, S.E., M.B.A., Ph.D., CBAP, (6) Director of Internship & Career Center President University, Ir. J.B. Susetiyo, M.M., (7) President of Indonesia Career Center Network, Teddy Indira Budiwan, S.Psi., M.M..
ICCN DJB Regional Coordinator, Yoka Mai Patria S.AP., M.A., gave appreciation to all participants in this activity which was attended by managers of university career centers from Jakarta, West Java and Banten. For him, this is a step that can have a positive impact on the development of career center management in the future.
