After completing her doctoral degree from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, she joined the Applied English Linguistics study program in 2004 as an adjunct lecturer. She has taught Semantics, Lexicology and Lexicography, English for Specific Purposes, and Corpus Approaches in Language Studies. Her areas of interest are Corpus Linguistics and Phraseology.
