Unika Atma Jaya Celebrates Polish Day with the Polish Ambassador to Indonesia
Jakarta, 13 June 2023 – Universitas Katolik Indonesia (Unika) Atma Jaya has long established a close relationship with the Polish Embassy in Jakarta. This good relationship was marked by the selection of Unika Atma Jaya as one of the official Polish language course locations from 3 locations in Indonesia.
Not only students, but also the general public has the same opportunity to learn Polish through courses organised directly by NAWA (National Agency for Polish Academic Exchange) and conducted on a hybrid basis by bringing in teachers from Poland.
As a form of celebration of the establishment of good relations while promoting the country and culture of Poland, Unika Atma Jaya in collaboration with the Polish Embassy took the initiative to hold Polish Day on Saturday (10/06) at the Karol Wojtyla Building, Campus 1 Semanggi.
The event, which was attended by 160 participants consisting of high school and university students, was opened with a performance of Polish Language and Culture by Pani Natalia Wojcik's Polish Language Class and then continued with a Guest Lecture with the Polish Ambassador to Indonesia, Beata Stoczynska.

In the Guest Lecture session, he also discussed cooperation between Indonesia and Poland, especially in the field of education. He also revealed the existence of scholarship programmes offered for Indonesian students if they want to continue their studies in Poland.
In addition, a Basic Polish Language Class was organised by Pani Natalia Wojcik to further introduce the country of Poland to the participants. There was also an exhibition area "The Work and Life of Nicolaus Copernicus" in Hall G which can still be seen today.
With the Polish Day, it is hoped that cooperation between Poland and Indonesia, especially in the field of education through Unika Atma Jaya will be stronger and in the future will produce various other interesting collaboration programmes.
