A research institute should have a good document management system. Using a database management system a good support system will be ready to facilitate all of data access the institute. This research applies SQL Server 2000 and ASP.NET C# to develop the application of database management system with web-based for LPPM Unika Atma Jaya. The application is not only for managing documents, but also facilitate all of online research activity, such as proposal uploading, file updating, and report delivering. Users of the application are limited for Unika Atma Jaya’s civitas academica only. Experiments showed that the applicatian is able to manage all of documents better than before, such as faster data access and keeping all of documents well.
