3/22/2018 12:00:00 AM

World Water Day falls on March, 22nd. In order to celebrate it, we are reminded again to appreciate a natural resource, which is water, more. Water is our life source, so it is better that we take care of the water quality. There are already many movements done to show care about water, especially clean water, as some parts of the world are now experiencing clear water crisis. How can we support those movements? There are five ways that we can do to save water:

1. Use water only as much as we need

Use water only as much as we need is one way to save water. Moreover, if we use water, specifically groundwater, too much, it can damage the ground too.

Use water wisely

 2. Don’t forget to turn off water.

Many people’s habit is that they forget to turn off the water appropriately both the sink and bathroom. It makes water keep flowing out.

3. Use only little amount of detergent during washing.

Detergent is a liquid waste consisting chemical ingredients which are very dangerous for water. Moreover, a lot of detergent usage means it also needs more water to rinse it.

5. Let the ground absorb water

It is essential to have a vast land for water absorption land, such as biopores. Furthermore, it’s better not to fill empty land with cement, but with conblock so that the ground can still absorb water.

It should be not to filled up with a thick liquid but only fill it with coonblock so water will still absorb directly to the ground.
