Radiowave is a kind of electromagnetic wave travelling in earth atmosfer. The direction of wave propagation is called a ray. A fenomena that happens when a ray strikes a boundary of two mediums with different dielectric constants is discussed with electromagnetic field approach. Total reflection will occur as a ray travels from a medium with a high dielectrical constant into a medium with a low dielectrical constant and the incident angle is greater than the critical angle. The discussion aims to find a reason of communication loss between an airport and particular airports.
