Orthogonal Frequency Division Modulation (OFDM)is one form of Frequency Division Modulationin which a communication channel is divided into several subchannel using orthogonal subcarriers. This scheme decreases information bit rate and the probability of occurence of intersymbol interference. In this paper, OFDM signal generation using 16-point Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM)is simulated and the performance of the signal under Gaussian noise is analysed. Simulations show that the linear additive effects caused by Gaussian noise on the received OFDM signal are similar to those on a single-carrier system.
