Biography
Meiliyana Wijaya is a parasitology lecturer who completed her medical doctor professional degree at
Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia in 2012 and obtained her specialization in parasitology
from Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia in 2020.
She has been serving as Head of the Department of Parasitology from 2023 to 2026.
Academically, she teaches helminthology, protozoology, entomology, and mycology.
Her research focuses on the development of diagnostic methods for fungal infections and medical mycology.
She has also contributed to departmental book projects on parasitic diagnostics and medical helminthology.
As both an academic and department leader, she is committed to advancing evidence-based parasitology
by bridging fundamental research and clinical implementation, while strengthening education, research,
and healthcare services.
