Biography


Dr. Anna Marietta da Silva, M.Hum. received her doctoral degree in Applied English Linguistics in 2016 from Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia with a dissertation on the use of English in the Linguistic Landscape of Jakarta. She is a tenured lecturer in Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, Jakarta (Faculty of Education and Languages). Between 2021 and 2023, and from 2025 until recently she served as the faculty’s coordinator of research and community development. Since 2020 until recently, she has been the reviewer of Discover Education, Asia Pacific Language Variation, dan Topics in Linguistics journals. In 2025 she was one of the reviewers of Linguistik Indonesia and International Journal of Indonesian Education and Teaching. During 2018-2020, she was a reviewer of the Indonesian Journal of English Language Teaching, and from 2017 until 2023, she serves as a reviewer of Scope: Journal of English Language Teaching. Her research interests include Linguistic Landscape, English for Specific Purposes, and Reflective Teaching. Her work has been published in national and international journals such as Indonesian Journal of Applied Linguistics, TEFLIN Journal, and Wacana: Journal of the Humanities of Indonesia.
