Biography

dr. Freggy Spicano Joprang, M.Biomed is a physician and academic in the field of biomedical sciences, particularly parasitology, who is actively involved in teaching and research at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, Jakarta. He completed his medical professional education at Atma Jaya Catholic University in 2000 and earned his Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Indonesia in 2009.

As a lecturer with the academic rank of assistant professor, he focuses on teaching parasitology, including malaria, helminth infections, and entomology. In addition to his active role in education, he is recognized through various scientific publications related to helminth infections and malaria.

With a strong academic background and extensive research experience, he has become a key educator contributing to the development of medical education and biomedical research. He also serves as the Year 4 PSSK coordinator, coordinator of the SOCA examination team, member of the Endocrine-Metabolism System and Tropical Infection Management Block Team, and supports student preparation for national IMO and RMO competitions.
