This paper discusses the comparison of the QoS objective in SIP-based VoIP network with the variation in the codecs, which are the G.711 µ-Law and GSM 06.10. This research was tested in two different networks, which are the LAN UI and Indosat. The parameters of the QoS objective which were measured are delay, bandwidth, and packet loss. From the measurement, both of the codecs fulfill the criteria for the QoS objective in the uplink and downlink side in LAN UI network. For Indosat network, both of the codecs have good QoS objective only in the downlink side. In the uplink side only GSM 06.10 that fulfills the criteria of QoS objective for voice application service and G.711 µ-Law does not.
