Vision

To demonstrate excellence and innovation in the financial risk management sector through the scientific development of financial engineering and the development of high-quality quantitative risk-modelling instruments.

Mission

• To develop the science of Applied Economics, Finance and Banking, especially in Financial Risk Management, with national and global orientation, grounded on values of competence, ethics, technology, and social responsibility
• To conduct advanced Applied Economics, Finance and Banking education with a focus on character education of the students in an effective and efficient manner in an academic environment that respects ethics and human dignity
• To develop and enrich the bodies of applied research in Applied Economics, Finance and Banking, notably in Financial Risk Management

Emmeline Aida Soegiarto

When I decided to pursue my master's degree, the university that I remembered first was UNIKA Atma Jaya. Besides the fact that I am an alumnus of the undergraduate program of Unika Atma Jaya, I eventually chose Atma Jaya because it offered the Master of Applied Economics program (MET). In this program, we were taught by our lecturers who were the experts in the areas of risk management and risk modelling, allowing us to be able to implement the concepts taught practically in our workplace. The study at MET was also really fascinating and beneficial for those working in banks or other companies, as the lessons are applicable in all business sectors. It was indeed an exciting experience to study at MET!

I am grateful to have decided to pursue my Master’s degree in the Master of Applied Economics (MET) of Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. With God’s grace, I had the opportunities to learn from highly qualified lecturers, lessons that are very practical, and supportive friends. Studying at Master of Applied Economics of Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia has broadened my horizon and perspectives towards the finance and banking sectors, which are strongly related to my career. There are a lot of academic concepts that I can apply at my workplace together with my other colleagues.
