DLTBI Welcomes New Batch of PhD in Applied English Linguistics Students



The Doctoral program of Applied English Linguistics of Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia officially welcomed its newest cohort of PhD in Applied English Linguistics candidates on August 29th, 2026, marking the beginning of an intensive academic journey centered on advanced linguistic research, language teaching methodology, and critical discourse analysis.

The incoming students were introduced during an orientation session led by faculty members, research supervisors, department leadership, and alumni. The event highlighted the university's and the program's commitment to fostering high-impact research in areas such as multilingualism, pragmatics, multimodalities, and epistemology of the South.

Throughout their doctoral studies, the new candidates will engage in rigorous coursework, collaborate on faculty-led research projects, participate in international academic conferences, and work toward publishing original contributions in peer-reviewed journals.
