The
Strategic Management Office (SMO) team from Atma Jaya Catholic University of
Indonesia (UAJ), along with lecturers and students from the Faculty of
Economics and Business (FEB) of UAJ, collaborated with nine UAJ partner MSMEs
in the 2025 Sustainability Report Competition for universities and MSMEs,
organized by the Erasmus+ ECoGREEN Consortium. The competition involved six (6)
national universities—UNPAR (PIC), UAJ, SCU, Ubaya, Trisakti University, and
Unwahas—and 24 MSMEs from various regions in Indonesia.
UAJ's participation reflects the university's commitment to integrating sustainability and ESG reporting into real-world campus and business practices. Through intensive mentoring, UAJ FEB lecturers and students guided the partner MSMEs in identifying material issues, building simple data systems, and compiling sustainability reports that were relevant and aligned with national and international standards.
More than just a competition, this program served as a collaborative learning space that brought together academics, students, and MSMEs. Sustainability reporting is positioned as a strategic tool to increase competitiveness, strengthen governance, and expand contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
In its implementation, the UAJ team assisted PT Piviko Manunggal, Bank Sampah Gunung Emas, Setali Indonesia, Dit Reveille, Epeni Gallery, PT Ciherang Tourism, Tanzif Natural, PT Garuda Visi Nusantara, and Lala Bento. This mentoring covered economic, social, environmental, and governance aspects, while also emphasizing UAJ's role as a strategic partner for MSMEs and an agent of change towards inclusive and sustainable development
