Students Demonstrate Green Leadership in the 2026 ECoGREEN National Competition
at Wahid Hasyim University (Unwahas) in Semarang.
Atma
Jaya University (UAJ) reaffirmed its commitment to developing an
environmentally conscious generation through the active participation of
students in the 2026 ECoGREEN National Paper Competition, held on January 22,
2026, at Unwahas.
Themed
"From Green Mind to Green Actions: Empowering the Young Generation for
Real Actions," the event was part of the Erasmus+ ECoGREEN Consortium
program, involving six national universities: Unpar (PIC), SCU, Ubaya, UAJ,
Trisakti, and Unwahas.
A
National Event with Wide Participation
Students
from nine universities across Indonesia, including Undip, Widyatama University,
and Sriwijaya State Polytechnic, participated in the paper competition. The
event also began with a National Seminar with 250 participants.
Overall,
this activity recorded:

43 papers registered
•
37 papers made it to the presentation stage (11 papers in English and 26 papers
in Indonesian).
This
broad participation demonstrates the high level of interest among the younger
generation in sustainability and environmental issues. UAJ Representatives:

participation in ECoGREEN 2026 is not only oriented towards competition, but
also a concrete manifestation of the implementation of the Laudato Si' value in
higher education, namely concern for Our Common Home.

this activity, UAJ is committed to: fostering environmental awareness among
students, encouraging concrete sustainable actions, and producing future
leaders with ecological insight.
UAJ
