Biografi
Dr. Yerik Afrianto Singgalen, M.Si., M.Kom is a lecturer and researcher in the field of tourism at Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, with a focus on GIS and remote sensing, tourism digitalization, and development studies. His scholarly work reflects a multidisciplinary approach that connects tourism with information technology, spatial analysis, artificial intelligence, sentiment analysis, and digital transformation. His publications cover ecotourism and environmental studies, tourist behavior, information systems, digital ethnography, hospitality industry forecasting, and the application of machine learning in tourism data analysis. In addition to producing academic publications, he develops various digital innovations to support learning, research, and community empowerment. His research approach integrates tourism, technology, and development perspectives to generate practical, context-sensitive, and sustainability-oriented solutions. He is also interested in decision support systems and the use of technology to strengthen destination management and community development. Through research and technological development, he seeks to advance academic contributions that are relevant to tourism, digital transformation, and real-world challenges in society and industry.
