Biography

Dr. Stephani Dwiyanti, Sp.Perio is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Oral Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. She completed her specialization in periodontology at Universitas Indonesia (2016) and is an alumna of the International Summer School at Heidelberg University. Her expertise lies in periodontology, with a strong focus on the relationship between periodontal health and systemic conditions.
Her research centers on periodontal infection, biomaterials, and innovative therapies through cross-disciplinary collaboration, supported by multiple research grants. As a practicing periodontist, she has particular interests in perio-systemic conditions, periodontal surgery, gum grafting, and implant care.
Her teaching philosophy emphasizes active learning, equipping medical students with practical knowledge and skills. She also serves as co-director of the Neurogeriatrics and Dementia block, collaborates with Alzheimer Indonesia and Opening Mind Through Arts, and actively shares oral health education through symposia and social media platforms.
