Biography

Drg. Stephani Dwiyanti, Sp.Perio is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Dental Medicine, School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. She completed her specialist training in Periodontology at the University of Indonesia and participated in the International Summer School at Heidelberg University. Her expertise centers on periodontology, particularly the interplay between periodontal and systemic health.

Her research focuses on periodontal infections, biomaterials, and innovative therapeutic approaches through interdisciplinary collaboration. She has consistently received internal research grants from Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia and was awarded the Direktorat Riset, Teknologi dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (DRTPM) Kemendikbudristek research grant. She also contributed to the Child’s GOL Health Study in North Jakarta.

As a dentist within a medical faculty, she actively integrates oral health into broader systemic care, emphasizing the role of dentistry in multidisciplinary education, research, and patient management. As co-director of the Neurogeriatrics and Dementia block, she collaborates with Alzheimer Indonesia and contributes to the Opening Minds through Art program by Elizabeth Lokon, bridging academic knowledge with community needs.
