Biography

Dr. apt. Fonny Cokro, M.Farm-Klin** earned her doctoral degree from Universitas Indonesia and completed both her professional pharmacist qualification (Apoteker) and Master of Clinical Pharmacy (M.Farm-Klin) at Universitas Surabaya. In 2016, she joined the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya as a full-time lecturer in the Pharmacy Study Program. She was a member of the founding team that established the Pharmacy Study Program, which officially commenced in 2017, and subsequently served as Head of the Pharmacy Study Program from July 2018 to June 2021.

Dr. Cokro teaches courses in clinical pharmacy, community pharmacy, and several general pharmacy subjects. Her research interests include pharmaceutical care, particularly Beyond-Use Date (BUD), COVID-19, pharmacy education, rational antibiotic use, healthcare-seeking behavior, and pharmacotherapy, with a particular focus on diabetes mellitus. She has published extensively in these fields and is actively engaged in community service initiatives.

In addition to her academic responsibilities, Dr. Cokro has been practicing as a clinical pharmacist at Atma Jaya Hospital since 2017. She believes that maintaining an active clinical practice is essential for continuous professional development and for integrating real-world clinical experience into pharmacy education. Since 2018, she has also served as a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) author for MClinica Pte. Ltd., contributing educational content on the pharmacological management of a wide range of disease conditions for healthcare professionals.
