STUDIES ON AVIATION, OUTER SPACE AND CYBER LAW

"Atma Jaya Studies on Aviation, Outer Space and Cyber Law" is an academic initiative taken by Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, specifically from its Faculty of Law, which focuses on three very specific and contemporary areas of law: Aviation Law, Space Law, and Cyber Law.

This initiative reflects the university's commitment to responding to dynamic developments in the world of law and technology. Here is a more detailed explanation of each field:

  1. Aviation Law: This study explores regulatory and legal issues related to aviation and air transport. This includes topics such as aviation security, passenger rights, air traffic regulation, and airline operator responsibilities. With the increasing volume of air travel and the integration of new technologies, the study of aviation law is becoming increasingly important.

  1. Outer Space Law: A relatively new and growing field, space law tackles legal issues related to the exploration and use of outer space. These include aspects such as satellite ownership, space station regulation, space environmental issues, and international rules regarding space exploration. The study is important because human activity in space continues to expand.

  1. Cyberlaw: Cyber law focuses on legal issues arising from the use and regulation of the internet and digital technologies. It covers a wide range of topics such as cybersecurity, cybercrime, data privacy, intellectual property rights in cyberspace, and social media regulation. The importance of cyber law continues to increase along with the rapid development of information and communication technology.

These studies offer valuable insights for students, academics, and legal practitioners, and help them prepare for the legal challenges of the ever-changing modern era. Through a multi-disciplinary approach, Atma Jaya Studies on Aviation, Outer Space, and Cyber Law aims to integrate legal theory with real practice, ensuring that students and legal professionals understand the legal implications of the latest technological developments and innovations.

The existence of this study program at the Faculty of Law of Atma Jaya Catholic University shows the university's initiative in anticipating future needs and preparing its graduates to become leaders and innovators in the growing field of law. The programme also encourages research and publication in these highly specific areas of law, contributing to the development of legal scholarship in general and providing new views on legal issues faced by today's global society.
