Dissemination of UKPPPG: Atma Jaya Preparing Atma Jaya Professional Examiners

Jakarta, November 11, 2025 — The Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (Unika Jaya) Professional Teacher Education Department Program (PPG) held a Technical Guidance (Bimtek) Dissemination for Examiners for the PPG Participant Competency Test (UKPPPG) for prospective PPG teacher examiners. This activity is part of an ongoing effort to improve the quality of PPG implementation and strengthen the competency of lecturers and professional teachers in carrying out their roles as UKPPPG examiners.

The Head of PPG Department Program of the Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, Paulina Chandrasari Kusuma, M.Hum., in her remarks emphasized that this dissemination activity is a strategic step to ensure that the UKPPPG assessment standards are consistently applied by examiners in PPG Department Program of the Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia.

"This dissemination is not only a transfer of knowledge, but also a manifestation of our commitment to ensuring that prospective examiners have a shared understanding of the principles, mechanisms, and assessment standards in the UKPPPG. Thus, the quality of competency evaluations for prospective teachers can be maintained and continuously improved," she said.

One of the speakers at this activity, Dr. Maria Claudia Wahyu Trihastuti, M.Sc., Psychologist, a lecturer in the Guidance and Counseling Study Program, stated that outreach plays a crucial role in preparing professional and high-integrity examiners.

"The outreach activity is one of the PPG organizers' efforts to improve the competency of lecturers and professional teachers as UKPPPG examiners. This activity provides prospective examiners with knowledge about the objectives, types, and rubrics of UKPPPG assessments. As prospective examiners, outreach participants are trained to conduct assessments using a system prepared by the Directorate General of Teacher and Education (GTK)," she explained.

She added that this program is concrete evidence of Atma Jaya University's contribution to national efforts to improve teacher quality.

"The outreach activity organized by Atma Jaya University is a concrete manifestation of Atma Jaya's role in supporting the improvement of teacher professionalism for quality education in Indonesia," she added.

The activity, which took place on November 11, 2025, was attended by lecturers and supervising teachers who will serve as examiners in the UKPPPG. Participants participated in a series of sessions that included material briefings, assessment simulations, and practical use of the digital-based assessment system.

With this outreach activity, PPG Department Program of the Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia hopes to generate more competent, professional UKPPPG examiners with a thorough understanding of assessment standards, thereby enabling the teacher certification process in Indonesia to be more effective and accountable.
