Mentoring SMEs to Create Sustainability Reports!
Atma Jaya Catholic University (Unika Atma
Jaya) held mentoring sessions for SMEs as members of the ECoGREEN consortium.
The event involved 10 environmentally conscious and globally minded SMEs.
Discussions on preparing to become a green industry covered a variety of topics
faced by SMEs every day, such as tourism villages, environmental monitoring
drones, waste management, natural home décor, local cuisine, circular fashion,
and products made from plastic waste.
The speakers included Prof. Dr. Natalia
Yeti, SH, MHum (FHUAJ), and Dr. Adjie Pratikto (FEBUAJ). The workshop utilized
existing business sustainability and sustainability reporting modules. The
event was opened by Dr. Christina Juliana, CPMA, Asean CPA, CertDA, who
delivered a welcoming speech. The speakers then presented their materials,
equipping SMEs with the skills to prepare sustainability reports as strategic
documents to support export market access, oriented toward social and
environmental responsibility.
The program is divided into four sessions,
with two presentations from speakers. After each presentation, a practical
session is held and a Forum Discussion Group (FDG) is held to discuss the
activities of each SME and the efforts they have made to foster sustainability
awareness.
By the program's conclusion in September
2025, several key achievements will have been achieved, including 10
sustainability reports that can be used as supporting documents for MSME
exports, 10 inspiring documentaries documenting the transformation process of
each MSME, and a 45-minute compilation video showcasing the entire mentoring
and collaboration journey.
