Biography


Untung Gunawan has been a lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy, School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia since 2019. He completed his bachelor's degree on a Bidik Misi scholarship, followed by a master's degree on an LPDP scholarship and pharmacist professional program on an ITB scholarship. He has a background as a researcher with a proven track record of working in the research and development (R&D) department of pharmaceutical companies such as Dexa Laboratories of Biomolecular Sciences and Kalbe Farma.

He is actively engaged in both teaching and conducting research in the field of pharmaceutical chemistry. In 2021, he pursued his Doctoral studies with a focus on Molecularly Imprinted Polymer (MIP) and computational chemistry through the BPI scholarship. He also had the opportunity to study at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Mahidol University and Chiang Mai University as a visiting student. Upon finishing his PhD studies in 2024, he resumed his research, specifically focused on MIP and computational chemistry.
