Lamtiur H. Tampubolon PhD (Mrs. Lamti), working at Atma Jaya Catholic University since 1986 as a staff researcher at the Centre for Societal Development Studies (CSDS). She became a head of CSDS in 2005-2010, and a Vice Chairman at the Institute for Research and Community Service in 2010-2012.
She studied anthropology at the University of Indonesia and held Doctorate degree in Anthropology at The Australian National University, Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies, Department of Anthropology, Canberra, Australia. Mrs. Lamti joined the Business Administration Program, FIABIKOM, Atma Jaya since 1998. She teaches in Introduction to Anthropology, Sociology, Social and Cultural System in Indonesia, Academic Writing, Advanced Business Research Methods, and Social Entrepreneurship.
Mrs Lamti’s major field of research, among others, is Drugs and HIV-AIDS, human trafficking, child labor, migrant workers and commercial sex workers. She published many books, among others, "Behavioral Change of Drug Users/Abusers in Jakarta: A Longitudinal Study" (2010); "Gold Miners in Mimika District" (2013), and "Social Studies Program of the Three Village" (2014). In 2015 Mrs. Lamti presented a paper entitled "Saung Angklung Udjo (SAU): A Study of the Cultural-based Tourist Place and Its Contribution to Local Tourism" at 4th ICBC Conference in Manila. Her current research is "The Use of Village’s Funds from the perspective of Legal Aspects, Social and Cultural Society in Ngada, NTT “.
